Baby Food Storage Tray

I cook.  I’m not a HUGE fan of it, but I do it.  Why not cook more?  I decided to try and make baby food for my son.  A couple friends of mine tried it and they had success, so why not, right?  Read here about my first attempt: squash!

After reading loads of information from loads of different places I decided that the best fit for me would be to make a big batch at one time and freeze the food for future use.  I looked into getting ice cube trays to freeze the food into handy 1 oz portions.  The ice cube trays at local stores didn’t say anything about being BPA free, so I decided to look online.

Ta-da!  I found Fresh Baby ice cube trays that were BPA free and dishwasher safe (awesome for this mom).  So far so good.  The cubes popped out easily (although next time I will fill them a little less full, so they pop out even easier), and it came clean in the dishwasher.  I believe the cubes might be slightly less than 1 oz, but it works.  They come in packs of 2, but I could see myself buying 4 of them so that I can get a lot of cooking/freezing done in one day.
