Boy Nursery Makeover

I love, love, love before and after room makeovers…they always inspire me to take on a room of my own, and then, well, life happens!  Because I started my blog after baby boy was born, I was never able to share my baby boy’s nursery makeover.

So why not do it now!  I don’t really have any before pictures, because it was a pretty boring office with two computers and a television, but I will for sure share with you the after pictures!

I started out designing the room in my mind, and shied away from having any “theme” such as zoo animals, ABC’s etc.  I wanted a very clean, modern, geometric nursery.  As I was pregnant I started collecting a few owl things here and there (remember my month by month pictures with mr. owl?), and it slowly morphed into a underlying owl theme.  So there are a few owl’s here and there around the room.

Enjoy baby boy’s nursery!

Safety first right??

stripes on the wall of nursery

We designed a wall of stripes that were un-patterned and pretty cool looking afterwards!

You can see how the stripes turned out! We did it on just one wall.

There's mr. owl!

I found the owl and tree pictures at an art/craft fair. They matched perfectly!

I created the striped canvas art work to match the striped "focal" wall.

A nursery isn't complete without all the little pieces that make it special!
