Dirty Dozen

Confession:  I see all the hub-bub about organic and “know where your food comes from” stuff, but I kinda ignore it.  I know…ignorance is bliss sometimes.  I probably shouldn’t do this, and if I started paying attention to it all, I most likely would be mortified.  Still thinking it all over in my head…it may take some time…

BUT now I have a little one AND now I am making him food like peas, squash and sweet potatoes.  It’s just not my body anymore that I have to worry about huh?  I have been perusing around about the Dirty Dozen fruits and vegetables.  The Enviornmental Working Group publishes a list of the Dirty Dozen foods that contain the most pesticide residue to help with consumer’s shopping needs.  They suggest that any of the dirty dozen foods be purchased organically.  They also publish a list of the Clean 15 fruits and veggies that don’t need to be purchased organically.
