Making Mommy April Challenge: Abs Every Day!

I have a love hate relationship with my ab muscles.  I love to get them toned, strong, and looking good, but I hate the work it takes to get there…blah.  Ladies…you know how it goes: your body is just not the same after having a baby.  Yep.  Things are just different.  I actually wrote a post about my post baby body secrets recently.  After my son was born I started going back to the gym when he was about 8 weeks old and here he is 8 months old (today!).  I’m working on it slowly and I feel like my strength and endurance is almost where it was pre-pregnancy (yay!).  I tried to alternate days at home doing different toning exercises also, but I am just never motivated when at home to get my groove going.  That is, until my Making Mommy Monthly Challenges.  *I think after this month I will ALSO have a love hate relationship with this challenge.*

Making Mommy Monthly Challenges

Each month I will give myself a challenge that will somehow better myself or my surroundings.  I will introduce it to you, update you on it, and wrap it up at the end of the month.  (Quick shout out to my bloggy friend Alea over at Premeditated Leftovers, who gave me this idea!)  So….

April Challenge (#1): Blast that baby belly by doing ab/core work EVERY DAY!

I know it’s probably not that big of a deal, but it is to me!  I am hoping this blog holds me accountable to this, AND I hope maybe to see a few results along the way (fingers crossed).  For the ab workouts I found a great rotation of exercises here at Parents.com.  I am also excited to be welcoming another bloggy friend Jami from LOVA (Life of Vitality and Agility) who is going to check in each week this month with some tips for new moms on how to get their bodies back!
