Making Mommy May Challenge: Wrap Up!

Goodbye to May, and goodbye to a few extra pounds!  Woo Hoo!  I am nearing my pre-pregnancy weight slowly but surely.  It’s harder than I thought, and takes more will power.  Ugh.  But I’m getting there!  This month I challenged myself to let go of my nightly snacking habits and try a few fruits and veggies on for size instead.  Here are this month’s challenge posts:

Besides a little bit of cheating on Mother’s Day weekend (I deserved it) I have stuck to the plan of a healthy night time snack 5x per week pretty well.  Turns out that all that eating that I was doing before was unnecessary because I wasn’t really hungry…my mind was just convincing me I was for some reason.  Silly mind.

So my new favorite snack at night time are smoothies!

You pretty much can’t go wrong with a smoothie…throw in some yogurt, fruit, liquid, and ice into a Magic Bullet and call it yummy!  My favorite one is strawberries, bananas, vanilla yogurt, ground up oatmeal, ice, and milk.  Blended into yumminess.

Because May is almost over, hopefully will not mean I go back to gorging myself every evening.  This month’s challenge and last month’s challenge will help keep me on track.  And because I am seeing a little weight come off, hopefully I will stick with it!  Swimsuit season is coming whether I like it or not…maybe, just maybe I will be ready for it.
